Give the gift of home this holiday season

The impact of a well-equipped home is profound.
"I have stuff – I had no idea what it meant to have stuff. A small object on a coffee table, a lamp, a picture – it all made my house feel like a home." – Elliot Palmer, Jr., recipient of an Essentials for Home package
Seven years ago, Elliot stepped into his new Habitat for Humanity home, furnished with care by generous supporters of The Green Chair Project. After years of battling homelessness, addiction, and even incarceration, Elliot’s journey illustrates the powerful impact home furnishings can have. Today, he’s a proud homeowner and business owner, a consultant for recovery organizations, a member of the City of Raleigh Substance Use Advisory Commission, a responsible father, and a dedicated community volunteer.
We thank you for your past support of The Green Chair Project. You understand the crucial role home furnishings play in fostering environments that support positive health outcomes, reduce homelessness, and provide stability. With 2024 coming to a close, we are still working towards our goal of providing 1,440 children with a bed of their own, and 1,200 families with essential home furnishings.
"The kids sleep better, and I've seen improvement in them across the board. I also sleep better knowing that it's one less thing I have to worry about." – a mother who received a bed through the Sweeter Dreams program
As you make your final charitable contributions this year, we ask that you once again consider supporting the families served by The Green Chair Project.
With your help, we can continue reaching our neighbors in need.
Yours in gratitude,
Rae Marie Czuhai
