International Window Coverings Expo official charity partner for 2026

The Green Chair Project is honored to be named the official charity partner for IWCE 2026. This incredible partnership will allow IWCE to share The Green Chair Project’s mission of transforming empty spaces into homes filled with dignity and hope with a broader audience. Together with the IWCE community, we can provide even more families in Wake County with the essential furnishings and resources they need to rebuild their lives, offering children and families the comfort and stability of a place to truly call home.

Since 2010, The Green Chair Project has been a compassionate force in Wake County, collecting gently new and used home furnishings from the community and transforming them into essential household packages for individuals and families overcoming homelessness, crises, and disaster. They partner with over 100 local nonprofits and agency partners to serve families transitioning into stable housing, ensuring that children have beds through their Sweeter Dreams program and that entire households receive furniture, kitchen, bath, and decor bundles - all delivered with dignity and choice. Guided by the belief that “everyone deserves a seat at our table,” their mission is to furnish homes and change lives by empowering our neighbors with the foundational comforts of home - sleep, storage, cooking, and warmth - so they can move forward toward self-sufficiency and hope.
